i don't really remember. Its one of those memories that someone told me about later. and then i decided i remembered, even though i really didn't. {plug in story about how i met my soon to be husband} but, yeah. i don't remember ro asking for gum. but after he told me the story of how he asked me for gum i sorta created the memory even though it didn't actually exist. So yes, he asked me for gum, that first or second day of grad school. And apparently i gave it to him. Probably smiled and winked given my condition at the time.
What condition, you ask? Well, I was 26, separated, and had single handedly changed everything in my life in a few short weeks. yes, i married the wonderful guy i dated all through college. I mean, I know he was wonderful, but i think i've made him even more wonderful since i spontaneoulsy left him standing by the glass door with the puppy that i had spontaneosly brought home a few months before. After a spontaneous drive to a staples parking lot in the country, answering a random ad from a paper i'd picked up on the corner of king street...while i took a lunch break from my miserable, structured job i managed to land in charleston, SC.
wowa, i think i wore myself reading that last paragraph. i'm craving tacos, and more champagne. maybe i'll sneak down and pour myself a little more. but don't tell my new almost husband. he doesn't like it when i drink too much on a school night..
